The cetane rating of diesel at the pump is often between 40-45 and the cetane your vehicle typically needs is between 47-50. AR6500 improves the cetane rating of fuel which increases MPG, power and response while reducing emissions.

On average, AR6500 users experience an MPG increase of up to 10%, representing a saving of up to $213 in fuel costs per 40.6 oz bottle (based on average fuel prices, November 2022).

In controlled highway testing, AR6500 increased MPG by 11.1% in a 2011 Ford F-350 over 1,600 miles.

EPA regulations for fuel lubricity standards do not meet the Engine Manufacturer's Association recommendation which means fuel at the gas station is unlikely to meet the lubricity level your vehicle requires.

Lack of lubrication leads to excessive wear, premature failure and the potential for costly repairs.

AR6500 raises the lubricity of fuel to above the required standard, protecting your diesel engine. In ASTM testing, AR6500 increased diesel lubricity by 43%.

Boost Cetane & Increase MPG

AR6500 incorporates a strong cetane boost and Archoil's proven combustion modifier technology to increase power and response at every fill-up.

The higher the cetane number (CN) of fuel, the faster the fuel ignites which produces a complete and cleaner fuel burn. Your vehicle typically requires a CN of 47-50 in order to run as intended by the manufacturer but the vast majority of the US is being served by diesel with a CN of 40-45.

By increasing the cetane rating of diesel alongside the cleaning properties of AR6500, combustion efficiency and fuel economy are improved which means less stops at the gas station, saving you up to $213 per 40.6 oz bottle of AR6500 (based on 10% MPG increase and average fuel prices November 2022).

Improve Fuel Lubricity

AR6500 improves the lubricity of diesel fuel. Lack of lubrication can cause a variety of issues in both older vehicles which weren't built to run on ultra low sulfur diesel and new vehicles which are built with tighter tolerances, making a lack of lubricity potentially catastrophic. These issues include:

• Excessive wear

• Premature failure

• Costly repairs

The Engine Manufacturer's Association (EMA) recommends using fuel that produces a wear scar no larger than 460 microns to meet the needs of a vehicle. The diesel fuel specification in the United States (D-975) is only 520 microns, meaning additional lubricity must be added to meet the EMA recommendation - highlighting the importance of diesel fuel additives.

In wear scar testing (ASTM D6079), base diesel fuel produced an out-of-spec scar width of 614.5 microns. The same fuel treated with AR6500 produced a scar width of 347.5 microns - a 43% increase in lubricity. Improving lubricity extends component life and prevents premature failure.

Can see a difference

I’ve only used it a couple times but I can see a difference in the turbo lag. I tow a job trailer daily and it definitely seems that it has better pickup and go. Not sure about fuel but I don’t usually check it being it worked everyday.
