"You can add Diesel Tech magazine to the long list of testimonials as we're now believers in Archoil too.
"Improved fuel economy, smoother running engine and no issues with cold starts."
I have a one year old 2021 Chevrolet 3500HD with a 6.6 liter Duramax Diesel L5P Engine. It is bone stock and will stay that way (ie emissions intact). The truck currently has 16,000 miles on it and I started using the AR6500 at about 8,000 miles. The engine idles smoother and does fewer regenerations using the product. As far a fuel mileage is concerned, not a lot of difference as far as I can tell. The truck will get 18 to 21 mpg not towing on flat highway driving and 9-12 mpg towing a 12,000 fifth wheel camper depending on terrain. I believe this product works well but the price seems excessive, I would like to find a less expensive alternative. Diesel fuel is already too expensive and this additive make it worse.
Using it for six months and notice the difference. Love the new bottle with the long neck which makes life easier.
Ive used Archoil for the past 9 years in my 6.0 Ford. It helps the truck start easier and less smoke and soot. The tail pipe is pretty clean considering. I can tell if I dont use the full treatment, it makes a huge difference. I use 1 oz / 10 gallons like it says on the bottle. I can see my EGT's increase if I go beyond the 1oz but it never gets out of hand. I recommended it to everyone I talk to that has a diesel. Truck has 150,000 with stock injectors and fuel system.
I am on my 4th. tank of fuel sense purchasing Archoil and my fuel mileage has increased by about 2 miles to the gallon. With the price of fuel increasing this helps make traveling better on a fixed income.
I'm a diesel guy. This stuff really works.
