This kit restores lost power and MPG, then gives your diesel everything it needs to run at its best all winter, with added anti-gel protection for the cold.

AR6400-D

AR6400-D Diesel Fuel System Cleaner delivers an intensive one-tank deep clean that removes the soot build-up that causes poor fuel economy, power loss, and frequent DPF regenerations.

AR6300

Follow up with AR6300 Winter Diesel Treatment at every fill-up to improve fuel economy, boost cetane, and protect the entire fuel system while keeping injectors, turbo, and the DPF clean. AR6300 also prevents diesel fuel from gelling in cold weather ❄️

Together they deliver:

  • Restored power and fuel economy
  • Smoother, quieter engine operation
  • Fewer DPF regenerations
  • Increased lubricity to protect the fuel system (including the CP4)
  • Anti-gel protection in cold weather

AR6400-D Diesel Fuel System Cleaner

One 12 oz bottle of AR6400-D treats 40 gallons of diesel fuel.

Add directly to the fuel tank before filling up.

Use every 5,000 miles, then follow up with AR6300 at every winter fill-up for continuous cleaning, protection and optimal performance.

When running AR6400-D in winter, we recommend also adding a single dose of AR6300 in that tank for the anti-gel protection.

AR6300 Winter Diesel Treatment

One 41.3 oz bottle of AR6300 treats up to 275 gallons of diesel at the standard dose.

Standard: 1.5 oz of AR6300 per 10 gallons of diesel (reduces CFPP to -16°F).

Power Boost: 3 oz of AR6300 per 10 gallons of diesel (reduces CFPP to -44°F).

Add to the fuel tank before every fill-up. If AR6400-D is going in the same tank, wait until the next fill-up unless it is freezing.

AR6400-D and AR6300 are suitable for use in all diesel vehicles, including newer systems such as High Pressure Common Rail.

“Great product. I use it in my 3.0 diesel. My truck is parked for days when I go snowmobiling. I don’t have the luxury of plugging the heater in, and I have peace of mind knowing my fuel won’t gel at even -30°F.”

4 problems with diesel in winter

As temperatures fall, diesel engines become harder to start, idle less smoothly and use more fuel, and a sharp cold snap can stop the truck altogether.

  1. Cold starts get harder

    Cold starts get harder

Most U.S. diesel sits around 42 to 45 cetane, when modern engines run best at 47 to 50.

    In winter

Colder air and cold cylinder walls draw heat out, and low-cetane fuel can miss the first compression strokes: longer cranking, rough running and smoking.

  2. Fuel pump and injector wear increases

Fuel pump and injector wear increases

The U.S. lubricity specification allows more wear than the Engine Manufacturers Association recommends.

    In winter

Winter blends are usually cut with lighter No. 1 diesel and often carry less biodiesel. Both lubricate less.

  3. Injector deposits show up more

    Injector deposits show up more

U.S. diesel is not required to contain detergents, so injector deposits that form stay there and disrupt the spray.

    In winter

In a cold cylinder, poorly atomized fuel can’t burn fully. The unburned fuel ends up as soot, loading the DPF and fouling the turbo vanes

  4. Winter-blend diesel can still gel

    Winter-blend diesel can still gel
    At the pump

Suppliers ‘winterize’ diesel for the temperatures expected where it is sold.

    In a cold snap

A cold snap can take it past that temperature. Wax crystals then block the filter and cut off the fuel supply.

Winter Diesel Treatment
Step2
Improve every tank of fuel

AR6300Winter Diesel Treatment

Starting from a clean baseline, AR6300 works at every winter fill-up to prevent new deposits forming, lubricate the pump and injectors, prevent diesel gelling, and improve power and MPG.

Improves cold starts

Improves cold starts

AR6300 raises cetane by up to eight points, helping the engine start more easily and run more smoothly.

In most states, the legal minimum cetane rating at the pump is just 40. Raising cetane shortens ignition delay, so fuel ignites sooner and burns more completely. The result: smoother, quieter running, easier cold starts, and less unburned fuel leaving as smoke and soot.

Adds lubricity

AR6300 adds the lubrication you're missing from the pump to protect the fuel pump and injectors.

In ASTM testing, AR6300 produced a 43% smaller wear scar, far below the 460 µm benchmark, extending component life and reducing maintenance costs.

Keeps injectors clean

Keeps injectors clean

AR6300’s detergents keep injectors clean and maintain optimal fuel delivery, and its soot-control chemistry limits deposits in the turbo and DPF, maintaining throttle response and reducing how often the DPF regenerates.

Anti-gel protection

AR6300’s cold-flow improver keeps wax crystals small enough to pass through the filter instead of gelling together. The published cold-filter plugging point is as low as -44°F at the standard dose.

Be prepared.

AR6300 has to be in the tank before the cold arrives: it stops wax forming but cannot clear a filter that has already plugged. Treat the fuel at every fill-up, not after the truck won’t start.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it in my truck?

Yes. AR6400-D and AR6300 are suitable for use in all diesel vehicles, including newer systems such as High Pressure Common Rail: Power Stroke, Cummins, Duramax, European diesel cars and SUVs, and light-duty through Class 8 trucks.

How much do I add?

AR6400-D: add the 12 oz bottle to the fuel tank before filling up. One bottle treats 40 gallons of diesel fuel.

AR6300: add to the fuel tank before every fill-up. The standard dose is 1.5 oz per 10 gallons. The Power Boost dose is 3 oz per 10 gallons, so a bottle treats half as much fuel at that rate. The 41.3 oz bottle treats up to 275 gallons at the standard dose.

How cold does it protect to?

The published cold-filter plugging point is as low as -16°F at the standard dose and -44°F at the Power Boost dose.

Will it clear fuel that has already gelled?

No. AR6300 stops wax forming but cannot clear a filter that has already plugged, so it has to be in the tank before the cold arrives.

Can I run AR6400-D when it’s already freezing?

We recommend adding a single dose of AR6300 to the same tank as AR6400-D in winter for the anti-gel protection.

How often should I use AR6400-D?

Use it every 5,000 miles, then follow up with AR6300 at every winter fill-up for continuous cleaning, protection, and optimal performance.

Does AR6300 work with biodiesel and emissions equipment?

Yes. AR6300 can be used in pre-emissions, emissions-equipped and deleted engines, and is compatible with ULSD, renewable diesel and biodiesel blends.

Do I still use AR6500?

Use AR6300 instead during winter. It provides the same cetane, lubricity and detergency as AR6500, so you give up no benefit by switching early. Switch back to AR6500 when anti-gel protection is no longer needed.

How is this different from the Diesel Fuel System Kit?

Both kits start with a one-tank deep clean from AR6400-D. The Diesel Fuel System Kit follows it with AR6500 Diesel Treatment. The Winter Diesel Kit follows it with AR6300 Winter Diesel Treatment, which provides the same cetane, lubricity and detergency as AR6500, with added anti-gel protection for the cold.
